A Natural Bias
It seems that ignorance has no choice but to be self-inflicted. It's part of the natural bias imprinted in humanity to embrace the known rather than the unknown, because we don't know what is unknown until it becomes known and only then does it become familiar. So in the known we find solace and comfort with a consciousness that aligns with our experiences and sensibilities. We really are magnificent creatures of habit and while I appreciate at times the label of ignorance in the pursuit of information, we are all susceptible to this label. I like to see it more as people seeking what has always touched their heart, and in that place we might see why we are interacting them.
