We Love Aliens
The human being and our DNA is scientifically documented to be foreign to this planet. We have foreign genes in our DNA that are not found in any life form consistent with what we know of the Earth or its evolution. This too has been documented in anthropological and paleontological studies.
It didn't start here, so every person on this planet is an alien and it's all coded in our cell programming. About 90% of that programming in our DNA is absolutely unknown to science (also referred to as Junk DNA). So it could have broadcasting abilities to other sources of life we have no clue about right now.
I'm proud to be an Earthling and we likely keep coming back because we enjoy this beautiful Earthly game. What makes others special around our galaxy is that they are not from Earth. The connection people seek is always beyond what they feel they are. Placing our attributions to things outside of ourselves gives us solace in that we are not designing this alone. It gives us a deeper connection that there are things at play outside of our conscious and unconscious minds which are alien, foreign, unknown, but also deep down as a collective we foster an appreciation to some extent that all those things are us as well. It seems the human being is very comfortable with conceiving every imaginable story within and without ourselves so that we may embrace they are the same.
